The Cutest Chicks on Xanga!
A little over one month ago, there was a new arrival at the Snow house. I'd been expecting for quite some time, and delivery was delayed for a few weeks because sometimes that's just the way it is. Here are some photos and videos of the babies' first day home.
About to be unloaded into their pen:

So, that was on the jolly day of May 23rd. Let's take a look at the progress since then.

They grow so fast. *sniff*

There are three different breeds of black chickens in this photo:

From left, Ameraucana, Buff Orpington, Black Cochin (feather-footed), and Rhode Island Red.

It finally feels a bit more like a farm around here. Wonder how long it will be before we get the first egg....
Ol' Alibi seems to have adjusted just fine to his new Neigh-bors, even though they're always peeping around....
And it wouldn't be a photo-blog entry without a little B&B (Ben and Bear):
(How many bears can you count in the photo?)

How nice! Are these your chicks?
@mama_of_twelve - Yes. I'm looking forward to farm fresh eggs in a couple of months. :o)
Did you ever get chicks before?
@His_maidservant - Oh, yes - well, my dad has had chicks. They're so sweet when they're new, and then they go through this really ugly stage, as their grown-up feathers come in. I notice that you haven't posted any pictures of that stage... :)
@Dinahlynn - Well, right now, they are pretty teenagery. Or maybe it's that they've just turned 20, and I skipped over all that "yucky" awkward stuff.
It's like scrolling down on Spam mail. No offense.
@Yulon - No offense taken.
You must get pretty strange Spam.
